That Guy From “Attack of the Show!” Totally Nude in Playgirl

While many in the video game community are eagerly awaiting Olivia Munn’s pictorial in Playboy magazine, a shockingly small number are aware of the far bigger coup – the totally nude debut of that other guy from Attack of the Show in this month’s Playgirl. Munn and that one guy, stars of Attack of the Show, the G4 network’s live technology and culture program, are believed to be the first on-air duo to simultaneously appear in the two magazines – and the first where the girl kept her clothes on, and the guy totally didn’t.
Munn’s Playboy pictorial has captured a great deal of attention, from a tortuous on-air reveal of the cover to a Kotaku interview where she told the world, “My vagina would have looked like a Honeybaked Ham.” The guy, though, whose name we totally can’t remember, has seen his pictorial attract almost no attention. In an interview with Hardcasual, he complained, “Things got really weird on the shoot. The photographer kept talking about my waggle controls. And… Well… I need the money. Bad.”
He continued, “Olivia has gotten all the press for not going nude. But I can’t think of a single male tech reporter who’s ever stripped down completely for a photo shoot. Crecente did all of his hardcore shit before he got famous, and Totilo was still in a flesh-colored g-string in that shoot for Nerve. But I do a classy spread in Playgirl, and nobody even remembers what my name is. Do you?” We laughed awkwardly for a few minutes at his question, then quickly hung up the phone.
Early press access to images of the shoot proves that whats-his-face does, in fact, bare all, in a set of photos that begins with what appears to be a vigorous Wii game, and ends with him face-down on a bearskin rug, naked as a jaybird. The shoot includes several classic game props, including a Wiimote and Nunchuck (no spoilers, but look forward to the Nunchuck), an original Xbox controller (the big one), and a Sega 32X.
Ms. Munn’s Playboy can be purchased at newsstands and magazine shops across the US starting this Tuesday, while Mr. Whateverthefuck’s Playgirl will be available only at that creepy 7-11 on the dark side of town and behind the beaded curtain at that comic book store that smells like mold.
